The Keepsake Collection: Jewellery with a Story

The Keepsake Collection: Jewellery with a Story

As I turned 30 this February and began preparing for my wedding later this year, I’ve found myself reflecting on my childhood, my future, and the people who have shaped me along the way. Many of my closest friends are now starting families of their own, and as I’ve been making christening gifts and first birthday presents for them, my thoughts have naturally drifted back to that special stage of my life and the jewellery I was gifted at that young age.

One of my greatest influences was my grandma, who sadly passed away far too young, when I was just 18. Throughout my childhood she gave me small pieces of silver and gold jewellery, each carrying far more meaning than I could fully appreciate at the time.

When I moved to Edinburgh I found them all together in my old Turkish Delight tin.

My grandma was sentimental and protective, and it showed in every piece of jewellery she gave me. Each had a story: a gold octopus with diamond eyes, a silver St Christopher for my first car, an engraved baby bracelet from my christening, and a silver cross for my confirmation. They were more than accessories, they were memories and symbols of love.

With all of this in mind, when I sat down to design a new collection, I knew it had to be a keepsake collection. Jewellery is at its most powerful when it carries meaning, when it can be cherished across years and passed through generations. And as I am marrying my Scottish fiancé in September 2025, I thought pieces with a Celtic twist would be nice. That is when I discovered The Celtic Zodiac Animal Chart.

The Celtic zodiac is an ancient, lunar-based system of astrology that links each birth period to a symbolic animal. These animals embody character traits, life paths, and spiritual connections, offering a way to understand ourselves more deeply through the rhythms of nature. Being such an animal lover, I couldn’t resist the idea of creating pendants inspired by these symbols, pieces that feel both beautiful and meaningful.

My new collection features just under 20 carefully designed pieces including the 12 Celtic animal pendants.

These designs are intended to be meaningful at every stage of life: a thoughtful gift for a child at birth or a christening, something personal to keep as a teenager, and timeless enough to wear with pride as an adult. One of my inspirations was my sister’s baby bracelet, which she still wears today. It has grown with her over the years and become a lasting reminder of love and family, and that idea of jewellery that endures through life has always stayed with me.

From this memory, The Keepsake Collection was created. It is a range of Celtic zodiac pendants and expandable bracelets designed to be gifted young, treasured always, and worn well into adulthood. Each piece carries symbolism, meaning, and care, a reminder that jewellery is never just decoration but a story you carry with you.
